Between mid-2018 and mid-2028, Trafford's population is projected to grow by 6.4% or 15,049 residents. The proportion of the population aged 0-15 years is projected to increase by 2.6% (1,300 residents), those of working age (16-64 years) by 3.9% (5,656 residents), and those aged 65 or more by 19.9% (8,095 residents).
