Electric vehicles

The UK government is banning the sale of new petrol and diesel cars by 2040 as part of its Road to Zero strategy. By 2050 it expects almost every car and van to be zero emission.

The number of zero emission electric vehicles has risen sharply in Trafford over the last few years. At the end of June 2019, there were 535 licensed electric vehicles with a registered keeper living in Trafford.
