Trafford's suicide rate tracks England
Over the three-year period between 2017 and 2019 Trafford registered 49 deaths by suicide. At 8.1 suicides per 100,000 population (95% CI 6.0, 10.7), this is the lowest age-standardised suicide rate amongst Greater Manchester's local authorities. However, whilst the trend in the suicide rate has remained significantly lower than the North West over the last few years it remains at a rate that isn't statistically different from England's.
